On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, organized the “MUGR Webinar: How to Get Published at Q1 Journal Ranking” via Zoom Meeting. The webinar was conducted as part of the Share & Learn session for postgraduate students, aiming to enhance academic writing and publication skills for international journal submission.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Sineewanlaya Wichit, Deputy Dean for International Relations, Networking Development and Student Affairs, Faculty of Graduate Studies, delivered the opening remarks.
The session was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dyah Anantalia Widyastari from the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, who provided valuable insights and practical guidance on preparing research manuscripts for publication in Q1-ranked journals, including strategies for selecting suitable journals, improving manuscript quality, and responding effectively to reviewers’ comments.
Key topics included an overview of Q1 journal rankings, essential elements of high-quality academic manuscripts, publication ethics, common reasons for manuscript rejection, and effective techniques for increasing the chances of publication in internationally recognized journals. Participants also gained practical recommendations on navigating the publication process in today’s competitive academic environment.
This webinar provided a valuable opportunity for postgraduate students to strengthen their academic publishing knowledge and develop essential skills for successful research dissemination. The session attracted approximately 120 participants from various disciplines across Mahidol University.
