On Saturday, 7 March 2026, the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, organized the Final Session of the “Thai Culture for Daily Life” workshop for international students at the METI School Room, Graduate Studies Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The session was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Yingyot Kanchina from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University, and Lecturer Watit Pumyoo from the Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University, who shared their knowledge and experiences in Thai language and culture.
During the Final Session, international participants had the opportunity to learn and practice Thai cooking closely with the instructors, followed by a shared Thai meal in a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The activity marked the conclusion of a series of classes conducted every Saturday over a period of five weeks, from 7 February to 7 March 2026.
Throughout the workshop, participants learned practical Thai language skills and cultural knowledge that can be applied to daily life. The course covered a range of topics including Thai phonology and grammar, self-introduction, using Thai in transportation and public transit, Thai food culture and ordering food, as well as Thai customs and social etiquette. The program helped enhance participants’ understanding of Thai language and culture, created meaningful learning experiences, and supported international students in adapting to life in Thai society.

In total, 60 international students participated in the workshop.
